For the Masters in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Business School, Students are expected to take a total of eight courses plus complete a dissertation. All four courses in the first term are compulsory, while in second term students study two core courses and two optional, courses chosen from a pool of four courses.
Consulting on three different projects simultaneously has been the most interesting experience for me on the MSc Entrepreneurship and Innovation. I had expectations at the start of the programme and consulting wasn’t one of them. Now it’s been added to my bucket list and ticked off!
Attending the Business Travel Show/Travel Technology Europe Conference in London has considerably enriched our knowledge of the industry, and helped us to develop a comprehensive understanding of the consumer profile that we had been researching for our client consultancy project.

How should leaders lead in today’s ever changing society? Should there be more emphasis on follower-ship than leadership? What is the likelihood of there being a robot leader in the future? These were just some of the themes discussed at the TEDx conference I attended.
What does success look like to a group of MSc Entrepreneurship and Innovation students? This is a question they were asked by a London-based start-up on a recent trek to the city. There were many answers – but these 3 themes emerged.
Having just returned from the trek to London, I can tell you the experience was extremely valuable and enjoyable. The MSc Entrepreneurship and Innovation trek consisted of four visits to separate companies to discuss topics related to our programme at the University of Edinburgh Business School, including innovation practices within these companies, entrepreneurial challenges, company culture, and venture creation.
This year we welcomed our first class of MSc Entrepreneurship and Innovation (E&I) students to the Business School. Under the guidance of Programme Director, Dr Raluca Bunduchi, these students will be the pioneers of this new programme, paving the way for future cohorts.
