A big part of the learning process for Masters students at the University of Edinburgh Business School comes from having the opportunity to work on live projects, researching real challenges that organisations are facing. These projects help shape a range of skills in our students, from learning how to manage a client; breaking down and researching a brief; presenting strategic recommendations in a formal setting; and understanding team dynamics in order to work efficiently together in teams of people from diverse backgrounds.
Our Management students had the pleasure of collaborating with a group of tourist organisations in Gran Canaria to help identify solutions to strategic issues the tourism industry is currently facing.
The clients were really impressed with the solutions the students presented to them – not only in terms of the level of detail they provided but also the extra lengths they went to to bring their ideas to life for the clients.
